Kraken adds an AI assistant to its US app

Kraken has added an AI assistant to its consumer app for users in the United States. The company announced the feature through its official X account on September 10, 2026.

Kraken lists three initial uses: researching the market, checking a portfolio and exploring what idle cash could be doing. The post also invites users to ask the assistant open-ended questions from inside the Kraken app.

The announcement links to Kraken's general mobile app page rather than a detailed guide for the AI feature. Kraken says more regions are coming, but it has not provided a rollout schedule.

This is separate from the Kraken Pro chart assistant

Kraken already offers an AI side panel inside Kraken Pro. That tool is built around an active trading chart. It can read displayed indicators and price structure, compare related trading pairs and respond to prompts for market briefings, technical scans and strategy ideas.

The newly announced feature sits in the main Kraken consumer app and is presented more broadly. Its stated uses include portfolio questions and idle cash, not only chart analysis.

Users should not assume that the two assistants have identical data sources, prompts or product access. Kraken has not said whether the consumer assistant shares technology with the Kraken Pro side panel.

The launch post does not identify the model provider, explain how current its market data is or say whether answers include source citations. It also does not state whether the assistant can prepare or execute transactions.

Kraken has not published details about supported assets, account requirements, personalization or how the assistant handles regulated financial products.
