Ink Points are Kraken Pro's points system for active users. Kraken Support says users can collect points through activity on Kraken Pro, including trading, holding assets, staking and platform engagement.
Points are calculated and added every Monday, based on the previous week's activity. API activity is excluded. Kraken also treats Ink Points as a seasonal system: each season lasts four weeks, season points reset at the end of a season and lifetime points do not reset.
Ink Points are tied to levels. Kraken Support lists six levels in total. Levels 1 to 5 are based on points collected during a season. Level 6 is VIP and invitation only. Points may be one eligibility factor, but they do not guarantee VIP access.
Boosts are time limited opportunities to collect extra points. Kraken describes two types: multiplier boosts, which multiply points from eligible activity, and flat point boosts, which award points for actions that may not normally collect points.
Leaderboards rank users based on points collected in the current season. Kraken says users compete within their own level, not against every user globally.
The market is paying attention to INK again, but the confirmed facts are narrower than the rumors.
Kraken announced in July 2025 that it planned to introduce the $INK token and Ink Layer 2 protocols into its product suite. That official blog post said $INK would be part of Kraken Drops and would be airdropped to eligible, active Kraken clients and ecosystem participants.
That does not mean every Ink Point will convert into $INK, or that Ink Points guarantee an allocation. Kraken has not published a final token distribution formula, a TGE date or a confirmed exchange rate between Ink Points and $INK.
Ink's own FAQ is cautious as well. It says there is no information to share at this moment regarding a token or airdrop and tells users to rely on official channels rather than third party social posts.
For users who already trade on Kraken Pro, Ink Points are worth understanding because they are part of Kraken Pro's official activity and rewards system.
The safer approach is to treat Ink Points as a Kraken Pro engagement program first. Users should not trade, stake or hold assets only because of an assumed future airdrop. Points have program rules, eligibility limits and no confirmed public conversion into a token allocation.
Anyone interested should check the Ink Points page in Kraken Support, review active boosts in Kraken Pro and follow official Kraken and Ink channels for future announcements.
