Kraken Prop added gold, silver, WTI oil, Brent oil, copper and natural gas on October 29, 2026. All six markets trade around the clock and use index-oracle pricing.
This is not direct ownership of commodities or exchange-traded futures. Participants submit trade signals in a simulated environment. The positions and stated limits are simulated, while qualifying payouts are based on that simulated performance.
Each market has its own maximum leverage and notional cap. The cap is the largest simulated position allowed in that market and is separate from the nominal size of a funded account.
| Market | Maximum leverage | Notional cap |
|---|---|---|
| Gold | 5x | $500,000 |
| Silver | 5x | $200,000 |
| WTI oil | 5x | $200,000 |
| Brent oil | 5x | $200,000 |
| Copper | 10x | $50,000 |
| Natural gas | 3x | $50,000 |
These limits apply to plans other than Lite. Lite plans also support all six commodities with up to 20x leverage, but keep their existing commission rate. The markets are available wherever Kraken Prop is offered except the UAE. Kraken says the limits remain under review and may change.
For every plan other than Lite, commission on non-crypto markets has fallen from 4 basis points to 2 basis points per side. The rate covers the six commodities plus S&P 500 and XYZ100, and it also applies to existing evaluations and funded accounts. Crypto-market commissions are unchanged.
At 2bps, a simulated $100,000 position costs $20 to open and $20 to close. The round trip costs $40 instead of $80 at the previous rate.
The other rules stay in place. Kraken advertises funded accounts up to $200,000, no consistency rule, no time limit, up to 90% of gains and payouts typically within 24 hours. A maximum drawdown still applies, evaluation fees become non-refundable once trading begins, and passing is not guaranteed. Kraken describes the service as unregulated and says most applicants do not pass on their first attempt.
Before paying for an evaluation, check regional availability and the live fee, leverage, notional cap, loss and payout terms for the selected plan. Around-the-clock trading does not remove oracle risk, thin weekend liquidity or sudden commodity price moves.
